I have a 2014 ILX that I just got, but when looking for an intake i found nothing for the 2.0 model. As I kept searching I thought I found a DC Sports intake that I was told is ok for the 2014 model, but noticed the side note that said for 2.4 L motor (after i purchased it). Will I still be able to use it and if I can will it be bad for the motor?

The placement of the engine is literally opposite in the 2.0 vs the 2.4.
The k24 in the manual ILX has it's Intake Manifold infront of the engine where as in your 2.0 the intake manifold sits behind the engine.

Doesnt seem like a big deal but basically in a Short Ram Intake it will "fit" but the MAF sensor will be sitting underneath the intake VS ontop how it should be. If you can connect the sensor underneath then I see no issues with running the intake.

However, with a cold air intake it make be more difficult as there is much more piping and in a specific shape where as the short ram intake will pretty much just be a C shaped piping.

So there you go... the Intake Mani sits in the opposite side of the engine bay making the short ram intake a possible fit if the MAF sensor will be secure upside down. The CAI would be a pain but if it comes in 3 separate pieces it MIGHT fit with some rotating of the connecting sections.

To keep things safe, id take 13's word for it and just buy one for the 2.0 or the 1.8l civic.
