I'm pretty particular with how may cars look and over the years I've tried many waxes and polishes.

Recently I tried Mothers California Gold Syn wax and found it to be easy to apply and remove with extremely low dust and has a nice smell too.

I also love Willys Garage Show ready quik detailer and their Super Gloss car wash too

For the windows Stoner Invisible Glass is the only thing I'll use and for the leather Lexol which I also find works when detailing the tires and it doesn't "sling off " on to the body

What does everyone else use ?

I have used meguiars gold class wax and Pinnacle Souvernan wax. gold glass is nice since its over the counter but ive noticed it does last that long. Pinnacle Sovernan wax on the other hand showed a lot of warmth and depth of the paint. So thats my pick. Also depends on how much you want to spend.

Invisible glass is great stuff itll also tint safe.

Ok the Mothers Syn wax second coat was applied yesterday and it doesn't have the "staying power" I've come to expect from more higher end waxes. Not surprising though I guess since I paid less than 7 dollars for it. Oh well

I guess you get what you pay for

Im also a fan of waxes, the only thing you need to remember is that a wax floats on top of your paint, and a sealant bonds to it. I used to wax and wax then years ago, i learned that using a good sealant protects the paint longer and better then any wax could. Look up Colonite 845 as its the least expensive that i could find, have used it may times on my Si and i love it. Ill be applying it to my ILX as soon as its in my garage

I dont use waxes as much these days becuase of the simple fact they dont last long.......That being said, if you layer a sealant and a wax ontop of it that will provide the needed protection and shine that your looking for. I have a PC7424 that ill be using in the spring on mine to make sure any marring or scratches are removed. Chemical guys has an amazing line of professional products that are easy enough to use even if your a first timer to real detailing, not just you Pepboys or Canadian tire/Walmart waxes. Youll see the difference in the shine right away. For sealants look up Colonite 845 you wont be sorry.....and its cheap

I love all the smells of the chemical guys products that would explain the headaches sometimes actually when im in the garage. I will be bringing my ILX over to my buddy who does opti coat. That and a layer of wax will be the best protection, also after each wash i apply quick detailer as well.

I have tried using wolfgang and didnt notice a difference from meguiars and pinnacle except for the cost. I find that all of their products are over priced. Ill stick with chemical boys and optimum products.

Btw popeye you should post pics of your s2000 :)

Here with another wax option

This time one that is known to last a VERY long time surpassing pretty much any paste wax.

Collinite 845

Great water beading characteristics too..

If you want a wax that lasts forever look into Optimim Opti-Coat

Only problem is it is recommended that professional application be required.
