I understand the platform we're dealing with and not looking to spend a fortune (that's for my car), but i would like to add a little kick to the wife's (chip, JB4, or the like), but on a normally aspirated I-4, im not sure that sort of (legitimate) thing exists.

Except for axle back exhaust, just not seeing a lot of 'performance mods' here for the power plant.

What say you?

I have a JB4 on my MK7 GTI and it really wakes things up because of the added boost values. On the naturally aspirated K24 you’re not going to see anywhere near the increased performance of a tuned or piggybacked boosted engine. And, basic bolt ons won’t yield much power increase.
One really interesting thing I found out about our stock K24 is how alive it is at track days, where one can really take most advantage of its power band and hear its revs.

That's kind of what i was thinking. Without forced induction, of some type, (and all accompanying mods) there isnt really much to pull. This isnt the platform to dump money into for speed.

I was advised a pedal commander would liven things up a bit...3 hondos and done.

Do you have an opinion on that?
