You do not want to use fishing line because you might scratch the paint. Use floss and a hair dryer ... Heat the area each letter individually for about 45 seconds on high. Then slide the floss behind each letter "one at a time!!!" . Slide the floss at different areas or angles of each letter. Apply heat when you feel the floss getting stuck. (DO NOT TUG OR PULL ON THE LETTER) because the oppisite side of the letter will dig into the paint. After removing the letters simply heat the leftover glue and rub off with you finger. Do not scratch it with your nail!!! Finish it off with a little wax and you should be good to go...
You would have to use a heat gun to remove the Acura badge but the residue from the backing is hard to remove of the paint. You would have to use goo gone.
Damn. Why Acura whyyyy?!
Im down to debadge my trunk but Im not down for two holes showing.
Maybe the TXS A badge will fit or I could just break the prongs and double tape it.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm leaving the A badge on. The average driver can't tell weather you're
driving a Passat or a Cruze without the badge. Call it status, but I like the status of driving
an Acura.
Just de-badged mine this morning. I love the way it looks. Im gonna plastic dip my "A" in either matte or gloss black. so that it blends in, but if you look you'll still see it. I think it'll look good... I hope. I can always change it.
