Just picked up a brand new white 2.4 dynamic and love the car!

I recently purchased a new condo and as such in the process to sell my current summer car and year round car as in having a two cars while living in a condo isn't financially friendly unless you're willing to spend an extra $15000 for a parking stall which isn't worth the price in my opinion just for me to have two cars.

My only dislikes on the car and yes I'm just being picky.
- Lack of head room compared to the civic, I'm 5'10 and would of enjoyed a little more space. My mom has a 2010 civic and there is much more interior room it seems.
- I love the rear-view dimming mirror, but why didn't they do this for the side mirrors as well?
- Bluetooth paring isn't the greatest and I don't like how you have to save the number in the car for voice command to work. Text function doesn't work with a lot of phones (At least not my Galaxy Nexus)... its 2013!!!! ...not 2006...
- Suspension is a little too soft, but I actually don't oppose this 100%... Now that I'm not a boy racer anymore it's nice to have a smooth ride, however I do wish it was more predictable in the corners.
-wish it has 60/40 folding seats in the rear

Otherwise, the car is awesome! Great sound, awesome rawr! I've came from cars in the past that were quite modified and I was worried I wouldn't have as much fun in an ILX as I would with my previous s2000 or my turbo'd honda fit but so far its been great!

My plans for this car will be pretty basic I believe, (or so I say haha)
-OEM lip kit
-18 inch Volk RE30's
-Suspension set up (TBA)
-Intake and exhaust

Anyways just wanted to say hi!

here are some former pics of my older hondas!

Cheers

Simon

Welcome to the forum!

Nice collection of Honda's you have their, the S2K is my favorite out of all. How much are you looking to spend on coilovers? I believe there are a few options at the moment.
Thanks!

I'm not sure yet to be honest. The ILX is too new and I don't think there is much in ways of aftermarket support, but I wanna see what other options I have besides TEIN to develop.
I don't plan on tracking this car like I did my previous models, so I would like something with some damper adjustment options for a smooth ride, yet if possible smooth be able to have a spring rate that can conform to something with a damper adjustment for some hard spirited weekend driving.
Wow! Nice rides!

Welcome to the forum! Post up a few of the new car too!
Welcome fellow Canadian! Also a Honda fan, love your collection! Have always been a huge fan of the S2000!

ILX is my first Acura as well, feel the same about the low head room, HFL and folding rear seats but still love the car overall!
Welcome, glad to have another ILX owner on the forum. Welcome to the club :)

Gotta love white and bronze, best color combination for cars. Are those authentic CE28's, something about them makes me want to believe they are CE28N replica wheels. First thing that came to mind when looking at your ILX with those wheels was.....it needs to be lowered! Can't wait to see pic's of it lowered. How low are you going to go?

I like that s2000. You went through quite a few cars and now ended up with the ILX. Nice too see a true honda fan. The Ilx is more of a mtaure car from the those that you had in the past. Is that a j's diffuser on the rear i see? ;)

Just an inch or so. I bought the Tein springs so I believe the drop is only 1.1 or 1.2

Yes that is a J's diffuser with the T1R Dual Dolphin tip exhaust and mugen front lip, rear wing and side diffuser with a front 350 reversed intake hole which lead to the intake piping. The s2000 was my favorite and best Honda I've ever owned (including the Ilx). I wish I bought a home instead of a condo so I could of kept it but it wasn't financially possible for me up here in Edmonton. =(

Great looking car. I agree with you about the headroom though. Cant wait to see it with suspension!

Looks great
Damn so fine cars. I have a Fg2 too, and ILX doesn't really feel far different. I love to have an s2k though damn so hard to find a decent one, in decent price here in GTA.
Nice ILX... that S2K is a selfish car anyways, lol. I think every owner of a two seater roadster eventually hits that fork in the road where lack of utility starts to weigh you down (if that's your daily). I do love how they drive; I had the opportunity to drive my old room-mate's S2K around while he was deployed for a year... it's a very beautifully balanced sports car; I never felt out of control in it, even when I pushed it to the limits on an autocross track.

Congrats on the ILX.
lol you know what? The s2000 was perfect for me though as a daily! I removed the spare tire and it was nice, fit my hockey bag, fit my golf bag. With the spare tire out too it was a nice little shoe rack in the back haha

I have two jobs, and a crazy sports schedule and no wife/kids etc ... if it wasn't for our crappy retarded winters up here I would of kept it till the day it died!

Thanks I love my Ilx... but don't get me wrong.. the s2000 was made every km of every drive worth living for!
Updated,

Car complete for the most part. Really don't wanna invest anymore into this car.
Will most likely save up for another s2000.

Nice. Answered my previous question about the wheels. Looking good. Cant wait to have the cash for some wheels! What are the specs?
CE28's 18x8.5 +40
Tires 225 40 18 Pirelli Pzero Rosso
Do you remember what our stock wheels are in width? I want to say 7.5
An inch is a great upgrade. I may end up with 9.5... may even go 19s but I want that VIP look verse a nice conservative sexy ass look. LOL
Still not sure, those specs are great. I could do that and just go lower on the offset. Decisions decisions.
