New ILX Dynamic Owner - Winnipeg Canada

...Well soon anyways. :001_tongue:

I made the purchase. Now I'm waiting for the dealership to find a White 2.4 and get it shipped here.

I recently purchased a set of new Bridgestone Potenza S-04's (225/45-17) that the dealer will be swapping over before I drive the car off the lot. Should add a bunch more grip!

Current car is a 2002 Civic SiR (Canada) that I've had since new. It's got a K24a2, 6 Speed with LSD, Hondata Kpro etc.. ~240hp. Love the car but it's time for more luxury!

Looking forward to driving the ILX.

Hey man! Congrats on the purchase.
I am from Canada too but in Ontario. Proud owner of 2.4 ILX in white :)

Thanks! Only one problem. I found out the dealer can no longer get white. The only ILX Dynamic left in all of Canada is Polished Metal Metallic. Otherwise I need to get a 2014...

Decisions....

Pmm is my favorite ilx color. Aside from brownstone but that doesnt have ebony interior.
Can my pmm make you change your mind?

Wow, that does look really nice... That color probably shows dirt less too right?

I had a look at a 2013 Accord Couple 2.4 DI with 6 speed today. It was very nice and had LOTS of features. I will say that it felt on the larger side when driving it... I need to make my decision in the next day or so...

Anyone have a pro/con list of the ILX vs. Accord? lol
First thing I think many people here will mention is status. Seemed to be why most of them went with the ILX verses a civic... or accord in your case.
If the accord is a v6 then off the bat it'll be a quicker car. The accord will probably also allow for the navigation. With the 2.4 ilx there is no option for the navigation.

Now, with an Accord, your drive a honda. Hondas are great. Acura, is slowly building its name within the luxury industry.
Honestly, the Accord is probably an all around better bang for your buck.
Me personally, I like Acuras. I think the ILX looks waaaay sexier than anything honda has put out (minus the honda integras, nsx, s2k, and some of their bikes).
Acura is a Honda in a Tux. A v6 accord might beat me from a red light. But I'll look great doing it and the quote "Oh My God I want your Accord" was said by almost nobody ever.

And you're correct. White and black show dirt quick. I can go a week before I really see the dirt.
Wait for the 2014. Not much more expensive and you get the tech package with the 2.4!!

My ILX might be the last 2013 ILX dynamic in Canada, I purchased it 2 months ago and when I was buying it, I called several acura dealers within 100km range and they all lead me where I purchased my ILX. Very rare and hard to find.

^I agree with Sumo, get a 2014 and you'll get much more with the tech package. Or you can buy my car and I'll buy a 2014 lol.

LOL so true
I wouldnt go near saying white is rare. Im sure acura made comparable amounts of each color. When I got mine I wanted the pmm 2.4 and they had none. They had white and black only so I took a black one for a spin. Tranny is great and all but the rep could tell I wasnt a fan. It was smooth yes, but I just find shifting a hassle since im shifting at work aaaaallllllll day in old ass fork lifts. The rep took me to a tech in pmm and I bought it.

Now white may be hard to find but there are a TON out there. Ive seen one pmm one silver and 3 white.. none black yyet.
different story here in Canada, when I was looking for a white ILX 2.4 there is only one I can find. but 2.0 white ILX are everywhere here, there's actually one across the street from my house and seen 3 on dealers lot.
Just sayin white 2.4 isn't rare. These cars haven't been around long enough for anything to be rare.
Wait for the Tech Package, No regrets at all for me. Have a cousin that wishes he waited for all the tech goodies and the blue color.
There were doing 5K off msrp on the 2013 ILX Dynamic in Canada in December. I imagine it would be similar numbers now compared to almost nothing off the 2014. How much can one really value the nav and upgraded stereo on the 2014? How much does colour really matter at the end of the day. Having said that I'm usually a white car guy but the ILX does look best in black to me.
Color is almost as important as which car you buy to most starting enthusiasts. Me? Id rock any color. With a proper build any color can look fly.

As for valuing the navi and stereo... OMG. The stereo is simply awesome. And after hearing people complain about the premium system lacking, Im so happy for my 700watt 10 speaker surround. The center stage speaker ontop of the dash is the tits. And the navi, I love it. Im one to use navigation once and memorize the route from then on out. But its nice as hell to see traffic backed up and just turn right and know the navi will still get you where you want even down a path youve never been.

Aside from that we also have homelink. Set up 4 different radio frequencies to your ilx. Open the work gate, home garage, and two empty spots left.
Also the built in memory. I have my ilx set to download every CD once I put it in the stereo. Once I have heard the CD (actually it maybe take 5-10 minutes to burn a 60minute CD) I dont have to keep it in my car. This works great because Ive got all current music on my phone, all my edm on my flash drive in the car, and a bunch of jazz and oldies that my mom had on CD downloaded. Love it.

With that being said. Finding out when exactly they plan to roll out 2014 models, what upgrades 2014 will be getting and if it's still somewhat close to 2013 (if you're happy with it), strike a deal on 2013's as they try to get rid of them to make room for 2014's :D

it works
Congrats and welcome
Ok, ended up with a 2013 Dynamic in Silver. Very nice car and got it for a great price. Already swapped the stock tires for 225/45-17 Bridgestone Potenza S-04 tires.

Well done, how much did they discount it for ya? How are you liking the ride?
