BTW i didn't get a written estimate at Acura, I just stopped by the collision center on the way to work and asked the manager who was outside what he thought it would cost to get it fixed. He just said "IDK somewhere around $500".
$500 is a bit on the high side but it is a dent in the worst possible area, so in that case $500 can be seen as being reasonable. @Texas, if you don't want to pay the $500 or what ever it might be you can getting your insurance to cover it.Maybe a neighborhood kit hit it with a football or something.. But, let us know when you get a better quote. $500 is high.
don't go to the dealership and fix it. They charge you so much extra just to be the middle man. They outsource it anyways, they will pay somebody to come in and do it for cost. Why don't you try going to a dedicated dent removal company or location. $500 to fix a dent like that is just ridiculous, it is in a hard place than the usually flat surface but still $500 is just robbery.IDK how it got there but it looks like someone hit my car with something, its above the passenger door on the pillar area before the roof. I know the time frame when it happened and the only place is was parked is next to a meter in downtown where no one could have been next to the car. I've had the car 6 months and this is the 3rd thing that's happened to it, my taillight mysteriously cracked, I got a big ding on the bumper from something on the road and now this. I'm gonna call some paint less dent repair places because the Acura dealer quoted me $500 to fix the ding lol. I wonder if I pull the headliner off if I can reach the metal to pop that back out?
