Need suggestion for my fog lights?

I am thinking about changing my fog lights to either 3000K HID Conversion kit or just some 20 bucks Super Yellow Halogen bulbs.
I have seen them side by side before and somehow I think those super yellow halogen bulbs appear much yellower than the 3000K HID Conversion Kit, so is the HID kit really worth the investment?

the halogen bulbs tend to be more yellow and the hid kit with 3000k seems like a very light yellow almost like the shade of the sun.

the beam of the hid kit will go further and cover a greater area in front of the car.
HID's are the way to go and 3000k for a fog light is perfect. Take some pictures when you have them installed.
Are HIDs worth the investment? well they are brighter than halogen so yes they are worth it. Some kits cost as much as halogen bulbs.

The downfall?

You will blind people with it.

I would go HID, but prrsonally im not a huge fan of yellow fogs, i just installed 6k fogs
And it was very easy, took all of 15 minutes
Check your owners manual, theres a good write up there how to change them

To stop blinding people, retrofitting projectors in the fogs might be a good option. Being able to focus all the light in one direction and aiming it, rather than shooting light everywhere in the housing than out to the road blinding people.
I completely for about blinding the oncoming traffic issue. less considerate i guess lol But now your going in deep your gonna do projectors for the fogs as well. I hope you got deep pockets lol

It's definitely not going to be cheap but if you plan on keeping your ILX for a long time it is worth the "investment"
The fogs on our cars are small, you have to take into consideration how much room you'd have to place even the smallest projector in them, which in my oppinion would be the blazers. Not to mention the heat issue aswell........ I have an 06 Civic that i want to do a fog retro on, and those fog housings are way bigger..........If your in the GTA area i have a guy that did my headlights for a reasonable price. Its not cheap at all but you will not be sorry man.....PM me for the info if you want it.....Hes in the newmarket area
Is his name Johnny or something like that? WiredRidez?

I think blazers would fit in the fog light housing. Do you know if we can aim our foglights?

Ya thats his name, I do think that they will because they are prettry damn small..........you know i dont know that i would suspect that they are aim-able in some fashion......might be like my civic where the screws and stuff are on the back side of the bumper in one assembly ill look when i have a chance and see........

Edit just looked at a pic of the actual fog itself online and looks like its not aim-able.......looks like its one whole piece that is just screwed in place unlike the civic

thats true theres not much room in the fog housing, unless you get mini projectors and form a circle with them now you have jewel eyed projectors for your ILX ;)
