Acura has teamed up with Indie roack band Metric for the launch of the 2013 Acura ILX sedan, which Acura calls, the "gateway to the Acura brand." "This first-of-its-kind Acura integration allows the brand to meaningfully engage with a band that is recognizable and favored among Gen Y," said Acura Brand Manager Susie Rossick. "This unique program gives us a unique opportunity to tap into the interests of this younger audience and introduce the all-new ILX as the gateway to the Acura brand."

"The collaboration between Metric and Acura was a refreshing change from the typical corporate approach," said Metric Manager Mathieu Drouin. "Together, we created an organic music alignment which benefits both parties, but in particular the fans. It's a win-win."

The 2013 Acura ILX starts at $25,900 and is available with three different powertrains, including Acura's first hybrid.

Metric eh? They aren't too bad. Definitely aiming at the young audience.
good Collabo! I love this band. Seems like Acura's really aiming to market this car to the younger crowd. Not bad to come up with fresh ideas. thumbs up!
yeah they are aiming at the young hipster.. i see this being a hipster car, but who are we kidding hipers dont drive.. they ride bikes! lol
I don't even know who Metric is LOL. It's good Acura is doing things such as this to market their vehicle. I think Acura should try marketing the ILX as crazy as Chevy did with the Cruze. Nearly every big city had Ad's up about the Cruze even before it hit the roads.
