which area are you from? Maybe try looking local if you want them asap. But if you want to save some cash you can go on ebay but the shipping time is killer but you pay less for the LED light itself.
I don't have an ILX of my own, so I can't really help you out when it comes to bulb numbers, but the numbers you need can be found in your owners manual. No i'm not really sure what to look for. I've never installed LED's on any of my previous cars before.
I just want to change out the yellow daytime bulbs into a "whiter" daytime bulbs. Possibly do the same for the fog lights as well.
Any coaching on this would be great!
Thanks for the fuse number, I'll probably wire in a switch.Do NOT change them with an HID kit. The bulb cannot run at low voltage.. it would be a waste. The way the DRL/High Beams are made it just doesn't work..
You CAN disable them.. just pull Fuse 21
I was always a fan of this JDM look, being a Honda/Acura, you might as well do it, definitely can't do it on other cars, It just goes so well with Honda's. 3M also has a nice yellow tint you can apply to the lens for even more yellow.![]()
I was thinking of running yellow bulbs in the drl kind of give it a jdm look with the yellow tint. What do you guys think about that rather than running a bright blue light.
The new LED bulbs do not output as much light compared to the OEM bulbs during max wattage. Therefore, your high beams aren't as bright anymore. Maybe one day they'll come out with a brighter LED DRL.Maybe someone can clear this up. Why exactly does changing the DRL bulb effect the high beams? They use the same bulb I figure?
I haven't seen one yet but I am sure it's either out there or they're working on a way to make it. Until then, you sacrifice for that pretty color.Im sure a company out there makes the LEDs we need with a high and low watt frequency... or whatever it would be called.
