I know most of Acuras other cars like the MDX and RLX are available with blind spot warning systems, is it available on the ILX?

from what i've discovered, blind spot detection is not available on the ILX.
i think it might be a feature limited to high end acura models for now, expect it to trickle down to the ILX eventually.

My driver's side mirror has an extra 1/2 inch for blind spot assist :shifty:
It's like the ghetto blind spot monitoring.

Honestly works just fine for me. I wish they just smade slightly convex side mirrors. The entire face. That way you'd get a really good view. Same for the inside mirror but I'd rather keep that oem and flat so I know the distance is correct.
It's kinda annoying that they don't offer blind spot monitoring. They could just offer it as an option and then the people who want it would be able to buy it. It really doesn't seem like that tall of an order. Although I have to say that I wouldn't buy it if it was offered as an option. I am okay with shoulder checking and using my mirrors to make sure things aren't hiding in the blind spots. I would imagine that blind spot monitoring will come to the ilx very shortly. It's not like this feature is an intense luxury technology. It should be pretty run of the mill in the next few years.
