Hi, I think I already know that there isn't the traditional black leather bra for the ILX, I do have the clear bra. However, I think the black leather bra is stronger that it prevents dents better than the clear bra.

I was told to bring the 2012- honda civic bra so they can make custom ILX bra out of it.

Does anyone care? What to do if the bumper gets dent up not scratched up because the clear bra.

The leather bra does give a tad bit more protection against dents and chips vs the clearbra. It's the styling that is subjective. Some do not like the look.

Personally I don't have either. I just stay farther back on the highway. But if you do mostly freeway/highway it isn't a bad deal. Too bad the front bumper will still get destroyed.
