DCT noises and clunks

Hey just got a 2018 A Spec with a 8 speed DCT. I work as a tech for BMW and noticed these acuras with a torque converter make odd noises compared to bmw models that dont have one. I heard and feel thumping noises in the floor when tapping the gas while cruising and when downshifting sometimes. Clunk into first when stopped is normal but others I'm not sure of. Anyone experience any of these symptoms and is it just a software update fix? Thanks!

I know that I am replying to a post that is almost a year old but was wondering if anything was ever resolved with this. I have a 2016 ILX and it has the exact symptoms and can hear the clunk and feel it in the floorboard. My guess is that it something is loose in the driveline or there is a weak engine mount. Please let me know if you ever found anything. So far I have not figured it out. Thank you.
Understand that it has an electronically controlled manual transmission. You will feel the necessary gear lash when doing on-off-on throttle quickly.

Thank you for the response. I would completely understand if a quick on off on throttle routine only caused this. However, this happens with normal input. If you are driving at say 35 Mph and you let off the throttle and count out 5 seconds or so, and then press the accelerator, the light "clunk" can be heard (when the car is quiet) and also felt in the floor board. To avoid this you have to feather the pedal back in. Doing that avoids the issue. Definitely feels like gear lash. Just seems to be a little more than expected.
Having driven a Chevy with a Muncie, it's not that bad.
mine clunks too, idk if its normal but hey ur not the only one…
