Street Basis Coilover........The Street Basis damper is the evolution of the popular BASIC coilover. Developed to provide a sporty ride feeling and aggressive stance. The shortened shell case design provides optimum damper stroke at lower than standard vehicle ride height. Vehicle ride height is adjustable via the ZT coated threaded sleeve. ZT Corrosion Resistant Coating
Newly developed ZT coating for improved durability and hassle-free ride height adjustment. TEIN developed this coating in-house after stringent test and analysis procedures. Their engineers tested different coats, application methods, cleaning processes, etc… in their own brine salt water testing machine which simulates heavy solvents/ road salts used in cold weather climates.

Non-welded Adjustment Tube
Slip-fit threaded adjustment tube. Allows for damper body and threaded sleeve to be thoroughly coated for rust/ corrosion protection. The slip-fit allows a more thorough coating on the threaded section as well as powder coated damper body.

Revised Spring Seat and Thrust WasherRevised Aluminum Spring Seat and Delrin Thrust Washer are light weight and durable. This combination allows for smooth ride height adjustment. The new spring seats have a larger contact surface area and eliminate the need for a rubber spring seat.

Are these specifically for the ILX or are they coilovers made for the 9th generation civic that can also fit the ILX?

H&R is working on a coil-over kit as is KW

KW will only offer it as V3 in early 2013

KW is the best IMO. What do you think pricing for it will be like?
im going for d2 racing. price is similar to the basics but they have better specs .

I believe D2 and K Sport are the same company? Not the best quality but are cheap!

They're good coils if you want something to daily drive, but not for serious track use as there are better coils out. Thats how I see them

No doubt even mid $2k
I am waiting for a Koni or Billistein set.
Has there been any new kits released? We could get vendors like XLR8 to see if ISC would like to produce a coilover kit for the ILX.

Megan and BC Racing are two other companies that we could contact.

H&R now have a part number for lowering springs on the ILX;interestingly enough it's the same as the 2012-13 Civic SI sedan # 51890 and lowers it 1.5" front and 1.3 rear
