Acura, the luxury vehicle division of Japanese auto manufacturers Honda Motor Company have announced details about their plans for this year. To start with, a refreshed and brand new design for their upcoming 2013 ZDX model. Acura ZDX came into the market last year but sales reached only 1564 units making it the fourth worst selling car in the US during the year. Learning from their mistakes, Acura has now announced a refreshed version of ZDX for the 2013 model year.
The updated ZDX will be seen with stylish changes, new technology and various other updates which will go a long way in making this vehicle more attractive to buyers. The vehicle will see classic redesign changes in the front fascia and updates in the rear fascia with top quality materials used in its cabin thereby offering greater value on luxury sales. Acura ZDX will remain a niche vehicle for Acura brand. The vehicle will go on sale from October 2012 as a 2013 model.
American Honda has seen tremendous response for both Honda CR-V and Acura RDX in the month of June 2012. Sales increased 48.8% with sale of 124,808 units as compared to sales in the month of June 2011. Both the Honda CR-V and Acura RDX saw higher sales in the month of June with sales of Honda CR-V reaching 23,282 units up 50% as compared to sales in the same month in the previous year. Sales of Acura RDX stood at 15,370 units, up 76.5% as compared to sales in June 2011, thus at the same time making it the best June sales since 2007.
With increased sales among the company's core models and creation of a record breaking month for CR-V showcases the company's strong commitment and overall competitiveness of Honda products in American markets.
Acura light trucks posted best ever sales in June with sales reaching 8278 units up 82.1% as compared to June 2011. Acura TL and TSX too saw increased demand in the month of June 2012 as compared to June 2011 with sales increase of 47.1% and 43.9% respectively. Sales of ILX, though new and recently introduced posted June 2012 sales at 1081 units.

2013 Acura ILX

Acura's first-ever gasoline-electric hybrid, the ILX Hybrid, uses a 1.5-liter inline engine and an Integrated Motor Assist® electric motor paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The Acura ILX 1.5L Hybrid has an EPA estimated* fuel economy rating of 39/38/38 mpg.
With a starting MSRP of $25,900, the Acura ILX offers remarkable value for the money with robust feature content and premium appeal. The 2013 TSX sedan and Sport Wagon will go on sale in fall 2012 and will have no changes to the lineup.
