Why did you buy the ILX over the TSX? I am curious to see. The TSX is $4000 more. Was price the only reason to not go for the TSX?

The TSX is a fantastic car I will just go over what I like about my ILX over the TSX vs the TSX has over the ILX.

The size, (subjective) I don't need a large car.. nor want one. The ILX actually fits my needs more than the TSX.. I was also looking for more fun.. the ILX delivers more fun because of it's lightweight driving attitude.

The styling, INSIDE and OUTSIDE it just looks like a 2013 car whereas the TSX is starting to show its age amongst it's competition.

THE TSX IS A GREAT CAR! But, my ILX 6-Speed is everything I wanted and it fits the bill.. the fun factor was REALLY important and the ILX has me enjoying every mile.
I like the size of the ILX better. It's cheaper. The ILX suits my purposes and provides a comfortable ride. It also has better tech.

I do agree with the TSX starting to show age.

Check out this TSX vs ILX interior comparison. I like the ILX interior more in every way.

Although there isn't a ton of differences I like how the TSX dash looks, especially that trim going from the passenger side A-pilar to the driver side A-pilar. It pulls together everything else below it nicely...much better than the ILX.

But the ILX still looks good!
I don't think anyone is a fan of that Analog information screen on top of the center stack on the TSX. Upgrading to the tech package is manadatory.

I actually think the interior on the TSX is nicer. The leather is nicer. It has 60/40 folding rear seats.

I like the ILX because it is smaller and easier to drive. Better mileage.
I purchased the ILX due to the hybrid option. Absolutely love the ILX, but if the hybrid option wasn't available, I would have gone for the TSX.
Shouldn't the ILX also be quicker? It is lighter. Both 2.4L 4 cylinder 6 speed.

It is, quite a bit over the AT TSX and a bit than the MT
I test drove both the TSX (2.4 AT) and the ILX (2.0 AT). I liked the ILX because of its size and
good looks. I bought the 2.4 MT without even driving it. Couldn't be happier!

I bet the ILX also felt lighter. I don't think the 2.4 liter engine in the TSX gives it the power it needs, it is on the heavy side!
But even the ILX 2.0L trim can use more power, still it moves it around turns and straight lines nicely.
The TSX feels more rigid and confident in turns but the ILX feels much much lighter.. It feels lighter than a 3,000lb car. With a more firm set of swaybars and springs it would make a world of difference.. I believe.

I think even better suspension bushings might even help and depending on how the engine and transmission mounts are, if improved I bet it will help the ILX feel even more confident in the turns.

Since the ILX is still very new I can't wait to see what improvements will happen, usually the last years of production bring the best trims.
Im pretty sure after what they did with the 24hrs thunderhill Acura ILX that will be a big influence for the aftermarket to start producing stronger and thicker sway bars and endlinks for the ILX to make it handling a little more aggressive around turns.

It's still very early in the game for things like that to be made for the ILX, A lot of ILX owners just want to drive it and nothing more. As more of them hit the used car market and the type of people that would do mods get their hands on them, thats when i think we'll see this happen. Probably not for another couple years.
I feel that Acura TSX's body design and exterior looks are getting outdated and can't compare to the ILX's fresh new look that more recognizable in 2013.

tbh I like both tsx and ilx I have both cars what I like about the tsx is the steering it’s really outstanding even controls better at high speeds but it’s a little heavy yea I know the engines are the same but I feel like the 2010 tsx is stronger has dual exhaust so it breaths a little better the 2017 ilx on the other hand looks better head lights are awesome got the jewel eyed headlights and the tail light design is really nice it’s a lighter and smaller car and has an 8speed dual clutch tech is better then the tsx easier to use and understand in sports mode this car screams it’s definitely pretty loud but pop some octane booster in the tsx and drive it in sports mode it will sound almost like a infinityG35 pretty cool

The ILX is smaller, lighter, tighter, and better looking in my opinion. The Si sway bars really woke the handling up.
