Check out Acura.ca for all the details. Spoiler alert...."We made the 2014 ILX Tech Package Dynamic by adding the 2.4L 6 speed manual".

They essentially added Navi/ELS to the Dynamic and increased the price by $2K. It did not mention any other changes but I wonder if there were little things that went unannounced on the website.

I personally feel at $34K this car is doomed in Canada. They will need $5K in rebates to continue to sell it in my opinion.

No limited slip differential and they list the curb weight the same as the 2013. Unless they haven't updated the specs it looks to be identical to the 2013 Dynamic + Technology package. Boo, I wasn't one of the people complaining about Navi or ELS I'd never use either of them. I just wanted it to be a little quieter and was hoping they'd address the offset collision improvements. Back to plan B, a slightly used TSX.

Sounds good for those who are buying, but what about us who bought before hand? Feels like a kick in the nuts, if you ask me. Acura should be sending ILX owners a gift in compensation.

They should but I doubt they will. In a situation like this they aren't really obligated to do anything to "compensate" chances are they will just ignore the small amount of angry customers.

Maybe you should try contacting them, see what they have to say and report back.

they did increase the price for the dynamic according to the website

OH wait.. I live in BC and the price went up by $2000 .... booo acura!
Is the dyamic package ILX still worth it to purchase after the price increase. See the thing is I got really confused with how the Dynamic package ILX is different from the other ones. what does it have in it that makes it a dynamic package? Is it the rims? interior options? or is it just a trim?

2013 Dynamic = 6 speed manual with premium package
2014 Dynamic = 2013 Dynamic + tech package

Essentially the 2014 Dynamic is a fully loaded as it gets and has a manual tranny.

Best way I can put it is that at 34K the Dynamic feels expensive. While the Mercedes CLA for example feels like a steal at 30K even though it won't have any options at that price.

I like the ILX but Acura Canada, I know you are reading this because I know someone at head office. You have to start thinking logically and start pricing cars appropriately, you are choking off sales and even loyalist are getting fed up. Honda corporate if you are reading this and it means turfing someone at Acura, DO IT! The writing is on the wall. With DI, and proper sound deadening this car priced at $28K would be a great seller, given the low YEN you would be making a fortune on it, what exactly are you waiting for?? GET WITH THE PROGRAM!

End Rant.

Yes, Honda/Acura consider Canada to be a premium market and sell us cars built in our own country for more than they sell them in the US. Its a major problem with Canadian consumerism and unfortunately us Canucks keep buying which perpetuates the problem. The cash price is a few K lower in the US and your lease deals are much, much better.
