Alright so I’ve owned my 2013 2.0 for about 10 months now, 16,000 Miles. Overall I am pleased with the car, I love the styling and it still catches looks from people (Mostly people a lot older than me lol). I still do not see many of them around, though now someone at my work has also bought a 2014 I think I've only seen 3-4 on the road since I got mine where as I pretty much see an TSX or TL every day. Granted those have been out longer. I've started to develop a hate for the acceleration or lack thereof. Mostly driving on congested Dallas freeways I can find the car to be a pain to merge or change lanes without getting ran over, It is painfully slow for my taste though a little better in sport mode. My average MPG over 16k miles is exactly 27.0mpg, I drive about 90% Highway so this number may look low but I have a heavy foot and get stuck in a lot of traffic. My only other complaints would be the factory tires, basically they suck imo. Mine are really bad in wet weather, not sure if anyone else has that issue my tires but starting about 8500 miles my tires decided they hated rain and if I have to stop fast they like to skid some. I complained to the dealer but the tread is fine so their only recommendation is to buy new tires to my liking out of pocket.
I’ve had no issues with the car except the dealer recently replaced the battery, I didn’t have any issues with it but they said it failed a test and replaced it. I have the prepaid maintenance till 50k so they covered it so not a big deal. Basically the car goes in every 3500 miles and they change the oil etc etc and whatever else. Apparently my prepaid maintenance does not include air filters, which I found odd but I just bought a new one for $10 on ebay. Not a big deal.
On a closing note, the car is great and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a relatively inexpensive and reliable luxury car that gets good mpg. The ILX isn’t much more expensive than a Civic and has a lot more class. Though I think it's missing a few things to justify the price of premium package. I see it more as a disposable car though, I cannot see us keeping this car more than 2 more years. In the next 6 months it will become my wife's car when I buy an SS Camaro and I know she is not a huge fan of how small it is so it may not last long after she has it.
